Fraud Fighterâ„¢ to Release Comprehensive Driver License UV Authentication Guidebook

In answer to requests from describe the imagenumerous customers, we began several months ago to compile a library of images of U.S. state driver licenses under UV light so that we could show them what to look for when using our patented line of UV Detector Products to validate identification documents. Well, it didn’t take long to realize that if we put a complete library together and made it available to our customers, that this could go a long way towards helping prevent ID fraud.

Thus, was the Fraud Fighter™ UV Security Feature Reference Guide© born.  As seen in the image here, for each state that has UV features in their driver license, the guide-booklet will show the most recent version/design of that state’s license, along with an image of the license under UV light. The booklet will be printed in a format that is small enough to either store inside our UV-16 unit, or to be mounted to the top of the unit with Velcro tape, thus providing a quick and handy resource for your cashiers and tellers.

describe the imageCurrently, we expect availability of this booklet around the middle of June, 2011.  We will send a formal announcement of its release, along with links to our website where the booklet will be available for purchase online.  Also in the works will be an online/networked version of this reference guide.

The Business of Counterfeit Fraud Just Keeps Growing

Not that we’re really complaining, but it seems that counterfeit fraud just continues to be on the rise.  Since the beginning of the year, we’ve delivered nearly 10,000 units of counterfeit detectors to two of the largest banks in the United States.  These are banks that have been customers of ours for years, but recently determined that they needed complete branch coverage, and were able to justify the expense of the additional units based on their anticipated savings from prevented losses.  As I write, we are preparing to deliver nearly 13,000 pieces to one of the nation’s largest retailers – a Fortune 100 company that finally determined that they could no longer tolerate preventable losses and fines that were resulting from their inability to detect fake IDs at the point of sale.counterfeit money detector

One of the world’s largest quick-service restaurant companies has approved our newest product, the CT550 electronic bill verifier, for inclusion in their store equipment catalogs.  This because the increased circulation of professionally produce “washed” banknotes in the U.S. was making the marker-pen completely obsolete.
